Mobile Healthcare & Sanitation in Rohingya Camps
The Urgent Challenge
In the densely packed refugee settlements of Cox’s Bazar, access to primary healthcare and hygienic sanitation is an ongoing challenge. Monsoon flooding frequently contaminates local water sources, triggering sudden outbreaks of waterborne illness that disproportionately affect young children and expectant mothers.
Our Ground Response & Direct Intervention
Hayaat Welfare Trust established dedicated sanitation stations and deployed mobile volunteer healthcare units equipped with pediatric medications, water purification systems, and vital nutrition therapy. Volunteer doctors and nurses provide free daily consultations and immediate care.
Long-Term Community Transformation
Fatima, who suffered from acute dehydration and fever, received emergency intravenous rehydration and vitamin supplements. Today, she is energetic, healthy, and attending community learning circles. Over 4,200 children have received preventative health screenings through this initiative.
